Home Means Nevada
Sarah Robles
In Home Means Nevada, Sarah Robles captures the essence of Las Vegas through the unfiltered lens of film photography. Using in-camera techniques like multiple exposures and filters, she transforms the city’s neon energy into striking, layered compositions. Each unedited photograph explores light and texture, offering a surreal, reimagined view of Las Vegas.
Sarah Robles exclusively uses 35mm film on her Canon AE-1 or 120 film on her Bronica ETRSI to capture all of her photographs. She views each photograph as a work of art, enjoying the process of experimenting with multiple exposures and using filters to enhance her images. By stacking images on top of one another, she strives to achieve the best possible result. Sarah takes pride in presenting her work exactly as it comes from the local lab, without any digital editing or alterations.
